The disasters predicted by the Daishonin ultimately occurred several years later. Dated April 10, and written at Mount Minobu to Toki Jonin, this Gosho discusses the four stages of faith and the five stages of practice indicated in the Funbetsu Kudoku seventeenth chapter of the Lotus Sutra. Any reports of typos or other errors are greatly appreciated. This new dictionary focuses largely on Nichiren Buddhism.

Through the unifying principle expressed in the Lotus Sutra, however, those contrasting views are integrated and resolved, giving rise to the concept of the fusion of self and other. Nichiren Daishonin reveals himself here to be the Buddha of aenshu Latter Day of the Law who possesses the three virtues of parent, teacher and sovereign. Each of those views offers a partial perspective and, taken by itself, may be considered biased or one-sided. If the Buddha, having awakened to the Dharma, or Law of life, had not endeavored to teach it to others, his enlightenment would have been incomplete. It is from here that the real path to world peace begins.

A house without pillars collapses and a man without a soul is dead. Zensh are able to discern the beginnings of Mahayana within the Buddhism of India, but it began to flower and bear fruit in earnest as it encountered and spread among different cultures.
It has not yet been translated into English. It asserts that during this time period shakubukuleading another to the correct Buddhist teaching by refuting his attachment to heretical views, is preferable to shoju gradually leading another to the true teaching without refuting his misconceptions.
Because of the influence of delusions, the essential nature of phenomena changes into ignorance.

The school of Buddhism known as Pure Land attributes salvation to the power of another, that is, zenshy the saving grace of Amida Buddha, while Zen Buddhism advocates salvation through the power of self, or the discipline of seated meditation. Presented in a form of fifteen questions and answers, it establishes the supremacy of the Lotus Sutra over the provisional teachings.

Within this universal religion called Mahayana Buddhism there are some ideas that appear to be contrasting or contradictory. It seems sad, though, when there are so zfnshu arguments.
Also written on Sado Island over a two-year period and dated April 25,this Gosho was entrusted to Toki Jonin, a government official and an early convert to the Daishonin’s teachings. This Gosho was written at Matsubagayatsu, the Daishonin’s residence at the time, and was dated May 28, Buddhism elucidates the essential equality present on the level of zsnshu itself.

It points out the errors of the various sects and their deleterious effect upon the country. It explains that there is a correct teaching for each of the three periods of the Former, Middle and Latter Zenahu of the Law and that in the Latter Day the true Law of Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the correct teaching to be propagated.
The Ten Most Important Gosho
Written at Mount Minobu in September and sent to Joken-bo at Seicho-ji temple, this Gosho refutes the objects of worship of senshu various sects, particularly those of the Shingon sect. Once we are born into the world, none of us can escape death. It predicts that two further disasters, internal strife and foreign invasion, would occur if the country continues its support of mistaken teachings and heretical priests. In addition, it contains a living system of thought and a spiritual tradition that clearly transmit the essence of Buddhism.
Mahayana Buddhism originated in India, and in the long process of its transmission to new lands with different cultures, it has evolved into a world religion. If, by encountering this dictionary, many people are able to deepen their understanding of and appreciation for Buddhist philosophy, I will be deeply gratified.
